The effect of black rice (Oryza sativa L. Indica) extract to increase estrogen hormone on pre-menopause of female white rats (Rattus norvegicus)

The study aimed to determine the estrogenic activity of extracting ethanol from black rice (Oryza Sativa L. Indica) in pre-menopausal female white rats (Rattus norvegicus). Adaptation was carried out on 20 norvegicus) experimental for one week with a body weight about 200-250 g. After week, were divided into five treatment groups, each group consisting 4 rats. positive control (P1) given Ethinyl estradiol orally at dose 9Ãâ10-3 mg/ 200g BB CMC-Na 1% as much 3 mL. negative (P2) / BW Test Group I (P3) an extract Black Glutinous Rice mixed ethanolic basil leaves 96% equivalent 1 mL thick amount 0.8g/200g II (P4) substance 2 1.6g/200g orally. III (P5) 3.2g/200g treatments estrous cycle begins during estrus phase. Uniformity phase using Whitten-Method Effect. It aims observe changes vagina by placing male rat cage top cage. Conclusions results this show that can increase females A prolong and vascularity ovarian compared (CMC-Na1%). lowest concentration (9x10-3mg/200g BW).
